Born as a DIY project back in 2019, AINM have been quietly grinding away ever since, despite lockdowns, curveballs, and all the usual chaos that tried to slow them down. Over the last few years, they’ve been steadily building momentum, hitting the stage and even crowdfunding to get their debut EP over the line. Their sound sits somewhere lush and shadowy, blending cinematic atmospheres with trip-hop, electronica, and rock—sweet one minute, dark the next.

With the EP creeping closer, the three-piece are setting the mood with new single Darlin. This one’s pure late-night energy: dreamy vocals floating over a slow, steady beat, wrapped in layers of soft, immersive sounds. It’s chilled, seductive, and just a little bit haunting, the kind of track that hits best with headphones on and the lights turned low.

The EP itself started life as a series of bedroom recordings, with the band handling most of the instrumentation themselves. Then they linked up with longtime inspiration Andy Barlow of trip-hop legends Lamb, finishing the project at his studio in Brighton.

Following the EP’s release in late March, AINM will hit the road, kicking things off in West Cork before taking their live show across Ireland and the UK. Keep an eye (and an ear) on this lot—they’re just getting started.
