Dublin’s Rising Emo Shoegaze Band Keeps the Momentum Going

Things are heating up fast for Dublin’s own Picture Postcard. Ever since they broke through in 2025 with their breakout single October, the band have steadily carved out a place in the ever-evolving emo and shoegaze scene. With their debut EP on the horizon, anticipation is building, and they’re not letting that momentum slip.

Following the release of Wherever You’re Meant To Be, the band return with their second teaser, Cranberry Juice. It’s a track that leans confidently into their identity, blending shimmering shoegaze textures with the raw emotional edge of classic emo. The result feels both nostalgic and refreshingly current, tapping into that late ‘90s and early 2000s mood without sounding stuck in the past.

A Softer, More Melodic Side Emerges

Cranberry Juice highlights a more delicate and melodic side of Picture Postcard. The song’s core lies in its dual vocal interplay, which weaves together seamlessly to create a dreamy, almost weightless atmosphere. With each release, Picture Postcard are sharpening their sound and expanding their emotional range. Their collaboration with independent Irish emo label Never Meant Records hints at a clear creative direction - one rooted in authenticity and a deep respect for the genre’s roots.

If Cranberry Juice is anything to go by, their upcoming EP could mark a defining moment not just for the band, but for Dublin’s growing shoegaze and emo scene as a whole.

For now, this latest single feels like a promise: something bigger is coming, and it’s worth paying attention. Their debut EP, With Time, is set for release on the 7th of May.
