Oasis Reunion '25 - Croke Park
After months of hype, ticket chaos, and more than a few grumbles about prices, Oasis finally made their long-awaited return to Ireland. Sixteen years after their last Irish gig at Slane Castle, 85,000 fans packed into Croke Park (times two!) to welcome the Gallagher brothers back. The big question, though, was it worth all the build-up?
For the lucky 160,000 who made it through the turnstiles over the two nights—and the thousands more who gathered outside the stadium just to soak in the atmosphere, the answer is a resounding yes. No matter what you forked out for those tickets, it paid off.
The show kicked off with the Gallaghers striding onstage to Fucking in the Bushes
. Almost instantly, a wave of warm beer mist and pure adrenaline filled the air. Noel slung his guitar over his shoulder, struck the opening chords of Hello
, and just like that, the biggest sing-along ever began.
What could have felt like a nostalgia trip quickly turned into something much bigger. A sea of bucket hats bobbed in unison, every lyric shouted back with the energy of a packed football terrace. For younger fans who’d only ever heard the stories, it must have been a shock, two straight hours of wall-to-wall anthems, from Supersonic
to Rock ’n’ Roll Star
, Don’t Look Back in Anger
to Champagne Supernova
. No filler, no skipped classics, just hit after hit.
Despite the chatter about Wonderwall brigade
ticket-hoarders, the crowd leaned mostly middle-aged, think pot bellies, beards, and dads reliving their youth. But this wasn’t just a lad-fest. Compared to the ’90s, the audience was way more mixed. Young, old, men, women, everyone was rolling with it.
And rolling with it
is putting it mildly. Oasis had Croke Park in the palm of their hands. Every single person was up, belting out the words. Even those who couldn’t snag a ticket weren’t left out. Thousands lined the streets outside, turning Dublin into one giant Oasis block party. Videos online show fans singing along in perfect unison, proving you didn’t need a wristband to be part of the moment.
The production, too, was next level. This wasn’t just a concert—it was a full-blown event. Crystal-clear sound, epic visuals on the giant backdrop screens, and an atmosphere that rivaled any U2 or Rolling Stones stadium show. Oasis are playing in that league now.
And this is only the beginning. The Croke Park gigs marked just the start of the Oasis Reunion Tour 2025. With U.S. dates on the horizon, Irish fans are already buzzing with speculation: Will they come back for another round? Could Slane Castle see an Oasis encore? And dare we even whisper it, could new music be on the way?
Maybe it’s just wishful thinking. But after what went down in Dublin, one thing’s for sure...Ireland wants more.
