Running Out the Clock burst onto the scene with debut single

Music Review | 29th Aug, 2025 Running Out the Clock

With sharp guitar hooks, shimmering synth textures, and an energy that just doesn’t quit, Running Out the Clock are making one hell of an entrance with their debut single, Why Wait for Love? It’s a fresh, feel-good track that pulls from indie, math rock, and synth-pop, blending it all into a sound that feels vibrant, colorful, and entirely their own.

The band have been quietly building buzz for a while now. Since their very first live show in spring 2024, they’ve been on a serious upward climb, landing in the Rockshore Battle of the Bands finals, scoring airplay on Blast106, and even taking home the win at Queen’s Battle of the Bands after lighting up Mandela Hall in front of a 300-strong crowd.

And now, Why Wait for Love? is here to prove they’re more than just a killer live act. It’s upbeat and full of life, packed with bright keyboard layers, energetic drum fills, and smooth, harmony-laced vocals. If you’re into infectious hooks and a sound that feels like summer bottled up, this track’s got you covered.
