Irish rockers All Thumbs are a band that blends indie pop shimmer with a touch of psychedelic haze, making waves with their refreshing, off-kilter sound. Their songs are playful yet thoughtful, moving between themes of love, dogs, and even emigration, all wrapped up in tunes that feel as inviting as they are inventive.
The band first caught attention in 2024 with their breakout single Slipping
, which scored national airplay and quickly put them on the map. They followed it up with Chalk and Cheese
, cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting new acts to watch. Now, with their debut EP on the horizon, All Thumbs have dropped a new teaser single, No Spoilers.
No Spoilers
is a track with surf-rock energy colliding with jangly 90s indie vibes, all drenched in wobbly, modulated guitars. No Spoilers is cheeky, catchy, and brimming with youthful spirit.
The latest release was born out of singer Rosa’s marathon 16-hour shift as a polling clerk during Ireland’s Family and Care referendum. Stationed outside Swords, she watched democracy at its most absurd, as confused voters, mostly older members of the community, turned to poll clerks for directions due to a lack of clear information. The lyrics poke fun at the often bizarre reasons people give for voting one way or another, while also asking the heavier question: why are so many young people opting out of the process altogether, even as that creeping sense of political hopelessness grows stronger?
All Thumbs are gearing up to release their debut EP, Melt
, set for October 2025. Judging by what we’ve heard so far, it’s going to be one of the most intriguing Irish debuts of the year.
The single, No Spoilers, is available through all streaming platforms.
