Lauren Wallace
Irish newcomer Lauren Wallace made a striking entrance onto the music scene in June 2025 with the release of her debut single, Allegedly
. A clear sign that she’s just getting started, now she returns to further cement her place in the Irish music scene with the release of her eagerly awaited debut EP.
The seventeen-year-old has spent the past year honing her craft with renowned vocal coach and producer Jono McNeil (Jade, Little Mix, The Voice UK). The result is her stunning debut EP, Salt Stained Lungs, a powerful introduction to her talent as a raw and honest songwriter.
Touching on themes of friendship, grief, and personal growth, the EP is a thoughtful blend of heartfelt, confident, and delicate tracks. From the dreamy pop of Allegedly
to the standout focus track People Who Love People
, Lauren displays a depth and maturity far beyond her years.
I'm so incredibly proud of my debut EP, and have practically been working on it for the last four years. In that time I've grown a lot both as a person and as a songwriter, and I think that definitely comes across in the songs, especially, Salt Stained Lungs, which is such a special track for me. I'm also really proud of the feature track, People Who Love People, as i feel it has really helped me develop my sound as an artist and makes me excited for all the music yet to come!
Speaking about the focus track, People Who Love People
, one of Laurens favourite songs, the young artist says;
People Who Love People is probably my favourite song off my debut EP, Salt Stained Lungs, and is definitely one of the first songs that made me feel like a 'proper' musician. Thankfully, a few weeks out from release, it still feels like the most authentic song I've ever written and I'm so head over heels in love with it. I still have the first draft of it saved on my phone from last July from when I was writing it with my cousin at like one in the morning and we were trying so hard not to wake anyone up downstairs. I love looking back on it sometimes just to see how far it's come in such a short time. It's got layers upon layers of beautiful production (and lyrics that I'm actually proud of) so I hope you're able to enjoy listening to it even a little bit as much as I do.- Lauren Wallace
The EP, Salt Stained Lungs, is available through all streaming platforms.
