FYA FOX kicks off 2026 with heartfelt comeback track Sweet Goodbye

Alt-pop singer-songwriter FYA FOX has been on the radar as one to watch ever since she dropped her debut single White Lies back in 2020. A run of well-received releases followed, building serious momentum all the way up to 2023’s Duvet Day. Then life hit pause, the birth of her daughter and a tough motor accident meant stepping back from music for a while.

Now, FYA FOX is officially back, kicking off a brand new chapter in 2026 with her powerful and heartfelt new single, Sweet Goodbye.

Known for her raw honesty and soaring vocals, FYA FOX continues her upward climb with a track that feels both intimate and expansive. Sweet Goodbye blends her electronic roots with a fresh pop-folk edge, leaning into a beautifully minimal sound that lets the emotion take centre stage. Her vocals are tender but full of feeling, floating over dreamy synths with a soft, elegant touch.

Lyrically, the song is a moving tribute to loved ones who’ve passed, exploring grief, memory, and that bittersweet space between holding on and learning to move forward.

Sweet Goodbye, explores not being able to share big moments in my life with loved ones who have passed. It came together really naturally because it's so close to my heart - I wrote the bones of the song at home on guitar and then went into the studio with some really strong sonic references.

I feel really excited but nervous about this release as it's been a minute. But it's authentic and honest and I hope listeners feel that when they hear it - FYA FOX

The track also reunites FYA FOX with longtime collaborator and producer Matthew Weir, marking the start of a new creative era, and if Sweet Goodbye is anything to go by, it’s one that’s set to hit right in the feels.
