Dublin is getting a serious dose of punk history this December.

Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter have announced The Radiators From Space as special guests for their massive 3Arena, Dublin show on Monday, 7th December 2026.

Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock are once again joining forces with Frank Carter for what promises to be one of the loudest nights out of the winter - and probably about as close as you're going to get to the original punk experience without finding a time machine back to 1976.

The Dublin date forms part of the Anarchy In The U.K. and Ireland Tour, celebrating an incredible 50 years of punk.

The Radiators From Space join Sex Pistols in Dublin

There couldn't be a much more appropriate special guest for Dublin.

Formed in 1976, The Radiators From Space were at the centre of Ireland's original punk explosion and became one of the country's pioneering punk bands.

Now, 50 years on from punk's year zero, they'll join Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter at the 3Arena for a night bringing together two bands whose histories stretch right back to those chaotic early days.

The show takes place at 3Arena, Dublin on Monday, 7th December, with tickets on sale now - Ticketmaster.

Sex Pistols celebrate 50 years of punk

It's hard to overstate just how much happened in 1976.

Sex Pistols spent the year causing mayhem around London, playing venues that have since become part of punk mythology - The Marquee, The 100 Club and The Nashville among them - as well as a residency at the El Paradiso strip club.

By May, the band had entered the studio to begin recording the songs that would eventually become Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols.

Then came Manchester.

The Pistols' famous 4th June 1976 show at the Lesser Free Trade Hall, followed by another appearance weeks later, became one of those gigs where seemingly everyone who attended went off and did something important.

Members of bands including Joy Division, New Order, The Smiths, The Fall and Buzzcocks were among those inspired by the Pistols' arrival.

By September, Sex Pistols were leading the charge at the legendary 100 Club Punk Special. A month later they signed to EMI, before releasing Anarchy in the U.K.

Punk had well and truly escaped the underground.

Paul Cook remembers those early days as being considerably less organised than rock history might suggest.

It was kind of like a commando raid. I don't even think a lot of places knew we were playing there. We just turned up and set up. It was all a learning curve for us - getting out there and playing live - we were learning on the job.

With Anarchy, I think we tapped into a feeling of unrest around the country at the time. The message was pretty simple - just have a go and get out there and do whatever you want to do. It was a new world
- Paul Cook

Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter

Fast-forward nearly five decades and Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock unexpectedly re-emerged in 2024 with one hell of a frontman.

Former Gallows and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes singer Frank Carter joined Jones, Cook and Matlock on vocals for shows originally organised to help save London's iconic Bush Hall.

It turned out to be considerably more than a one-off.

The combination brought a fresh burst of energy to the Sex Pistols catalogue and the shows quickly took on a life of their own.

We've had a blast. People want to come and see us play live. If I must say so myself, we are a great live band! - Cook

Steve Jones' approach is even simpler.

If it ain't fun, I ain't doing it. I'm too old for bullshit. - Jones
